Millennium’s pre-owned sales manager, Jeff Keitz, hand picks which pre-owned cars to sell and which ones to certify. It’s a job the 30-year industry veteran doesn’t take lightly. “I have a lot of pride in what I do. I treat these cars like they were my children," Keitz says. “I want to give people the best possible car for the money. When you buy a car here, you become a family member.”
In order to qualify for pre-certification, a car must be less than six model years old with fewer than 75,000 miles. The vehicle must also be in excellent shape and have a clean Carfax history, which uncovers mileage discrepancies, flood damage, title issues and other major problems.
The next step in pre-certification is to pass a stringent process that includes a road test for steering, handling,
instruments and control systems, plus a rigorous 130+ point inspection of every part of the vehicle, including the engine, electrical system, fluids, suspension, brakes, tires, wheels, seatbelts and drive shaft. This information is documented in a detailed written report.
Keitz won’t certify a pre-owned vehicle unless he strongly feels it’s a great car. “My biggest buying point is how a car was taken care of. That basically tells you everything you need to know,” he notes.
What are the primary benefits of buying a certified pre-owned car from Millennium?

Once that warranty expires, the Mercedes-Benz certified pre-owned limited warranty kicks in, providing comprehensive vehicle coverage for another 12 months, or up to 100,000 total miles, whichever comes first. Buyers of pre-owned certified cars also have the option of receiving an additional 12-24month extended warranty for up to 100,000 total miles.
One of the big advantages of the warranties is that if a car needs servicing, there’s no wait for pre-approval at any of the 300 authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers around the country. And there’s never any fee for deductibles. Certified pre-owned cars also come with special financing options and a 7-day, 500 mile exchange policy.
