BRIDGEWATER-For 25 years, Millennium of Bridgewater has been the source for Mercedes-Benz in Somerset, Hunterdon, Union & Middlesex Counties as well as many other neighboring communities. Opening in 1984 as Markham Motors and located in Somerville, Millennium Mercedes-Benz found a new home and a new name on Route 22 east in Bridgewater in 1995.
“We’ve established a faithful following,” says Charlie Cappadona, one of two owners of the Mercedes-Benz dealership. “We moved in order to gain more property and to be able to offer a larger inventory and showroom space for our customers.
The ‘M’ has been our logo throughout our 25 year history. Our brand is recognizable in the community and we’re proud of the history we have in serving the community,” says Mr. Cappadona. As a family run business, Mr. Cappadona and his partner David Batten want the community to feel at home in their facility. “We are not the biggest dealership in the state, but between the very qualified staff we hire, to our commitment and focus to our customers — we want to build longlasting relationships,” adds Cappadona.
Carl Cochran, Sales Manager, says, “When consumers buy cars today, their expectations are high and they come into a dealership very well educated. They typically know about the model, features and average price before they walk in the door. Our sales consultants have to be highly educated on the various models available and sensitive to buyer needs, which allows us to provide the best customer service possible. These are the clients Millennium Mercedes-Benz of Bridgewater enjoys working with. We recently had clients come to us from New York and Pennsylvania because of our reputation. They ended up purchasing cars from us that day.”
