Adjacent to Millennium’s showroom is a two-story building about the size of a basketball court. Each side is lined with approximately a dozen car lifts plus oversized tool chests on a spanking clean floor. This is where your car goes when it’s brought in for service.
 
The floor stays clean because every time a technician finishes a job someone swoops in and spot washes the area. This is in addition to a daily floor washing. The building is also air conditioned and heated, so it’s a comfortable place to work.
 
The service operation at Millennium is huge, with 20 technicians (12 who are Master Certified By Mercedes-Benz), two foremen, four service consultants, a quality control officer, dispatcher and warranty administrator, two receptionists, three business development employees, four parts counter people, seven "prep team" employees and another three who handle shipping and delivery of parts.
 
At least a third of the technicians have worked at Millennium for eight years or more, says Joe Bongiorno, Service and Parts Director. One of our foremen Ken Harper, has been with Mercedes-Benz for 26 years. Chris Squarcia, the other foreman, has been with the company for 14. Their in depth familiarity with Mercedes-Benz vehicles provides a level of expertise that’s invaluable when it comes to servicing and repairing any vehicle in the shop.
 
Bongiorno’s longevity in the automotive business is equally impressive. Just 38 years old, he’s been working in the automotive business since he was 17, previously owning his own shop in addition to working at other automobile dealerships. “Mercedes-Benz is known for reliability and performance," said Bongiorno, who says it’s not uncommon to see a Mercedes with more than 200,000 miles. Besides routine car maintenance, Bongiorno and his staff are involved in ensuring that newly purchased cars are preped properly and are immaculate at the time of delivery.
